Hudson loved to raise animals and enjoyed his involvement with Tomball ISD’s FFA program. To keep his name and spirit alive, the Folkerts family founded the Hudson Folkerts Memorial Foundation to lend a helping hand to students passionate about agriculture. Hudson’s Foundation is pleased to offer college scholarships to graduating Tomball ISD high school students who go above and beyond the status quo and have a desire to give back to the community. The Foundation also offers scholarships to Tomball ISD alumni who are involved in growing Hudson’s Foundation and going to college to obtain an agricultural degree. College Scholarship applications for New and Returning students are listed below along with an Animal Scholarship application. Please note that the Scholarship Committee will announce its decisions and notify students according to the dates listed below.

FIRST TIME APPLICANTS

  • Deadline: Friday, April 12, 2024 at 3 PM
  • Interview – Sunday, May 5, 2024 (Times of interviews to be determined)
  • Announcement Date on Hudson’s 28th Birthday:  Friday, May 17, 2024

Application Submission Information

For First Time College Scholarship applicants, please submit your completed application electronically to Kirk and Mandy Folkerts at folkerts6@sbcglobal.net.  The application package must include the completed application, your personal essay and a copy of your school transcript.  The school transcript should be requested by you from your school and scanned into this application package.

For Returning College Scholarship applicants, please submit your completed application electronically to Kirk and Mandy Folkerts at folkerts6@sbcglobal.net.  The application package must include the completed application, your personal essay and a copy of your school transcript.  The school transcript should be requested by you from your school and scanned into this application package.
